About Don Bowl
At 25 cm across with a low, open profile, the Don Bowl is a table piece rather than a floor pot. That distinction decides most of it. On an outdoor dining table it leaves room for plates and still lets people see one another across it; on a window sill it sits under the sash instead of fighting it; on an entry console it reads as an arrangement rather than a pot someone put down. Deeper containers at this diameter crowd the surface they stand on.
The quiet Light Stone surface is the reason it settles against timber, rendered walls and stone without arguing with any of them. Shallow root runs suit the open vessel best: mixed succulents, dwarf cacti, a seasonal flowering display, moss, or no plant at all and a scatter of pebbles. It belongs to the Light Stone planters collection, so it can be matched to larger pots already standing in the courtyard. Indoors or under cover outdoors are both fine; open, exposed positions are not what it was made for. What should I plant in it?
Anything with a shallow root run: mixed succulents, dwarf cacti, a short flowering arrangement or a moss garden. It also works unplanted, with decorative botanical stones.
Does it work outside as well as inside?
Both, provided the outdoor spot is sheltered — an alfresco table, a courtyard ledge, a covered balcony. Interior living areas suit it equally well.
Where does it sit best in a house?
Outdoor dining tables and coffee tables first, then kitchen islands, window sills and entryway credenzas. At 25 cm it leaves working room on all of them.
