About Trough Planter 100x40x50H
One metre long, 40 cm wide and 50 cm high. That width is the number most people are checking: it sits tight against a wall or a balustrade line without eating into the walkway, and the 50 cm height still leaves roots somewhere to go. Two builds share those dimensions, and both sit in our trough planters collection — Polystone Resin under code CG5027/100, and Light Stone composite under LS7034/100.
Finish is where the two part company. The Polystone Resin build carries eight finishes we hold as standard — Cement Grey, Charcoal Black, White Stone, Brown Terrazzo, Grey Stone, Smoothe White, Smoothe Black and Smoothe Grey — with High Gloss and Timber Look available on special order when a trough has to match joinery or a facade colour. Light Stone runs five mineral Cimstone surfaces instead: Stone Grey, White Cimstone, Black Cimstone, Grey Cimstone and White/Grey Crack Cimstone. Both builds weather well and neither is heavy the way concrete is heavy, which matters the moment a trough has to go up a stairwell or onto a deck.
Work the soil volume out before you order. A 100 x 40 x 50 box takes more mix than people expect, and our potting mix calculator will give you the litres. If you are deciding between the two materials, both are on the floor at our Malaga showroom — finishes like Brown Terrazzo and White/Grey Crack Cimstone are far easier to judge in daylight than on a screen.
Common questions
Which codes and materials does the 100x40x50 trough come in?
Two builds, same dimensions:
- CG5027/100 in Polystone Resin at 100x40x50
- LS7034/100 in Light Stone composite at 100x40x50
Which finishes are held as standard on the Polystone Resin version?
Eight of them: Cement Grey, Charcoal Black, White Stone, Brown Terrazzo, Grey Stone, Smoothe White, Smoothe Black and Smoothe Grey. The first five read as stone; the three Smoothe coats read flat and even, which suits a rendered wall.
What surfaces does the Light Stone build come in?
Five stone and Cimstone surfaces: Stone Grey, White Cimstone, Black Cimstone, Grey Cimstone and White/Grey Crack Cimstone.
Can I order High Gloss or Timber Look on this trough?
Yes, as a special order on the Polystone Resin variation. High Gloss and Timber Look are not stocked finishes, so allow extra lead time and talk to us before you lock in a project schedule.
Can I see both materials before I commit?
Yes. Both the Polystone Resin and Light Stone versions of the 100x40x50 trough are on display at our Malaga showroom. Bring a sample of your paving, render or joinery and we will hold the finishes against it before you settle on a specification.
