About Trough Planter 150x50x50
A metre and a half in one straight run — that is what this planter is for. At 150 x 50 x 50 cm it takes a continuous line of planting, so a screen reads as one hedge rather than six pots pushed together. It belongs to our trough planters collection and is cast from Polystone Resin composite: mineral stone powders bound with resin, which gives the wall a stone texture and the durability to stay outside season after season.
Eight finishes are held as standard: Cement Grey, Charcoal Black, White Stone, Brown Terrazzo, Grey Stone, Flat Black, Flat Grey and Flat White. High Gloss and Timber Look are commissioned by special order when a fitout calls for them. The rectangular form is plain enough to sit back behind the planting, which is usually what you want from a screening container, and it works in an indoor garden room or a sheltered alfresco area as readily as on an open terrace.
Work out your potting mix before you order. Fifty centimetres of depth across a 1.5-metre length takes more mix than most people allow for, and running short halfway along a hedge planting is a nuisance; our potting mix calculator will size the order. The trough and its finish samples are on the floor at our Malaga showroom in Western Australia, which is the quickest way to hold a grey against your own paving.

How long is the planting run, and how deep does it go?
It measures 150 x 50 x 50 cm — a 1.5-metre line of planting, 50 cm high and 50 cm wide. The height is what does the work for hedging: root depth rather than a shallow tray.
What exactly is Polystone Resin?
An engineered composite: mineral stone powders blended with resin binders. It moulds to a stone-like texture and holds that surface outdoors over the long term.
Which finishes can I choose from?
Eight are held as standard: Cement Grey, Charcoal Black, White Stone, Brown Terrazzo, Grey Stone, Flat Black, Flat Grey and Flat White. High Gloss and Timber Look come by special order, which is worth specifying when a residential or commercial fitout has a colour or texture it needs to match.
