The taller URN562 stands 992 mm to a 562 mm rim, and paired either side of an entrance gate, a main doorway or a pool pergola it does the work of vertical framing. The URN562A drops to 800 mm on a 550 mm rim — low enough to sit beneath a window sill or along a raised verandah balustrade without blocking the outlook, broad enough to anchor a paved terrace on its own. Both share the one profile, so running the two heights together in a single courtyard still reads as deliberate. Matching profiles sit in the urn collection.
Cast stone and clay at this scale bring two failure modes with them: thermal cracking through a Perth heatwave, and moisture spalling across a wet winter. A non-porous, UV-stable fibreglass shell avoids both. The manageable dry weight also keeps you inside the load allowance on residential timber decking and upper-level balconies, and it keeps installation straightforward rather than a two-trolley exercise.

The URN562 stands 992 mm high with an outer top diameter of 562 mm. The URN562A measures 800 mm in height with an outer diameter of 550 mm, so the difference is almost all in the height rather than the rim.
What are these urns made from?
Both are moulded from high-density fibreglass: structural strength in a lightweight shell that will not rot, rust or crack under Western Australian UV and weather conditions.
Do these need ballast in an exposed Perth position?
Yes, anywhere the wind gets a run at them. Check the base drainage outlet is clear, cover it with a patch of mesh gauze, then load 10 to 15 kg of coarse drainage gravel into the bottom. The gravel does two jobs at once — weight against a strong coastal afternoon wind, and an open path for water through winter rain bursts.
How much potting mix goes into each size?
Allow approximately 110 to 130 litres of potting soil for the larger URN562, and approximately 80 to 95 litres for the URN562A.
Can they go indoors on timber or stone floors?
Yes. Left undrilled, the fibreglass shell is watertight, which is what makes these urns workable in indoor foyers. Keep the plant in its nursery pot on an internal drip tray so watering runoff never reaches the floor.
