Double Bowl Water Feature Made to Order Pictures

Every part of this feature is a choice: bowl sizes, how many tiers, how high it stands. About Double Bowl Water Feature Made to Order Pictures

Choose the bowl sizes and you have more or less drawn the feature yourself. We make these up in Polystone Resin to the arrangement you want — one bowl on its own, two bowls in a stacked double, or three tiers running top to bottom — so the scale and the tier heights answer your outdoor living layout rather than a set size.

Display height is the second decision. The bowls can be set at ground level with no plinth, or lifted on one of six plinths: 400 x 40 x 20H, 40 x 40 x 40H, 50 x 50 x 20H, 50 x 50 x 50H, 60 x 60 x 60H and 70 x 70 x 30H. Polystone Resin is light enough to shift into position by hand, and it holds up to UV and the run of Western Australian seasons. Bring your courtyard measurements to the Malaga showroom and we will stand bowl profiles and plinths side by side so you can judge the proportions while you are planning the layout. View the water features and fountains collection, or contact us about a product or project to start the order. Ask us about Perth metropolitan delivery, or collect from Malaga once your feature is made.

What should the bowls sit on?

Dead level, and firm — a reinforced concrete slab or solid pavers both do the job. Put a spirit level on each plinth and each bowl as you build the tiers up. If a rim sits even slightly out of true, the water sheets off one side instead of falling evenly all the way round.

Which pump suits a two- or three-tier arrangement?

Our Malaga workshop works out the total water lift and flow rate from the bowl sizes and plinth heights you have chosen, then specifies a matched submersible pump so the water moves evenly across all tiers.

Will hard tap water leave marks on the Polystone Resin?

It will leave a mineral ring at the waterline if you let it sit. A soft damp cloth run around that line every so often is all the resin asks for. Dose the circulating water with an aquarium-safe fountain clarifier to keep algae down, and skim windblown leaves out weekly.

How often will it need topping up through summer?

Broad open bowls put a lot of surface area up against summer heat and the afternoon sea breeze. In warm weather, check the reservoir every two to three days and keep the level well above the pump intake.
