How big is it, and which way does it hang?

Why does a panel this wide need a box frame?
The perimeter frame cross-braces the rear of the sheet, so the metal cannot distort, flex or bow across a 2.4-metre span. It also stands the face off the wall, which is where the drop shadows under room lighting come from.
Can it hang on plasterboard alone?
No. Over a 2.4-metre span the fixings need something solid behind them, so anchor into wall studs in timber or steel stud walls, or straight into brickwork with heavy-duty masonry fasteners, and check the panel sits level as you go. Two people can carry and place it comfortably.
Will the rust finish mark the wall, and how is it cleaned?
No, it will not mark the wall. The patina is a stable, sealed treatment: no oxidisation runoff, no powdery flaking, nothing rubbing off onto painted plasterboard or wallpaper. Upkeep is minimal. A dry microfibre cloth or a feather duster along the cutwork edges is enough, since the texture catches dust a flat print would never hold. Keep detergent sprays, chemical degreasers and abrasive scouring pads away from the patina.
