Polystone Resin is crushed stone bound with polymer resins. Under the hand it reads as stone — same density of texture, same cool mineral feel — but it weighs less than precast concrete, so getting it across paving and set down in its final spot before soil goes in is a far smaller exercise than the concrete equivalent. The reservoir runs deep, which is what mature specimen trees, upright palms and dense tropical foliage need to hold root moisture through a Western Australian summer.
Cement Grey, Charcoal Black and Smoothe Grey are the stocked finishes, and all three sit quietly against render, stone and powder-coated steel; High Gloss and Timber Look are produced on special order. Work the fill out with the potting mix calculator before you order soil, because a vessel this deep takes more mix than most people budget for. Which finishes are stocked, and which are made to order?

Why Polystone Resin at this scale rather than concrete?
Crushed natural stone bound with polymer binders gives a shell that takes heavy wet root loads and years of UV without the deadweight of solid precast concrete. At 1500 by 950 mm, that weight difference is what decides how the planter gets onto site and into position.
Which plants work in a container this deep?
Mature frangipanis, dwarf olive trees, upright ficus varieties, architectural palms, and layered understorey foliage all have the depth and volume they need here.
Fill it before or after it is in position?
After. Set it in its permanent spot first, then build up from the base: a coarse aggregate drainage layer over the bottom outlet, geotextile fabric across that, and a quality potting blend on top to keep the mix aerated and draining.
