About Dimple Fountain
At 44 x 66 cm, this fountain fits where bigger ones cannot — a patio corner, a gap in a courtyard garden bed, the end of an alfresco setting. The ancient rust finish reads as an earthy weathered patina rather than new metal, and the dimples pressed across the face catch the moving water film and diffuse it instead of letting it sheet straight down.
Both the circulating water pump and the LED light are supplied with the unit, so setup is short: firm level surface, fill the water reservoir, connect to an outdoor power supply. After dark the LED picks up the falling water. We keep operating display models running in the Malaga showroom, and the rest of the range sits in our water features and fountains collection. If you are unsure where it should sit or how much upkeep it needs, contact us about a product or project.
Where should the plug and low-voltage adapter sit?
Run the lead to a weatherproof outdoor outlet protected by a residual current device (RCD). Keep the low-voltage plug-in power pack raised off the ground and out of the path of standing rainwater and garden irrigation spray — it is the one component that does not want to sit in water.
How often does it need topping up through a Perth summer?
Check the water level weekly in mild weather, and every two to three days once high summer temperatures arrive. The level has to stay well above the pump intake screen at all times; dry-running is what damages the impeller motor.
What cleans the dimpled ancient rust surface, and the pump filter?
A soft nylon brush and clean water is all the dimpled exterior needs. Work gently into the recesses, since that is where dust and mineral deposits gather and show. Rinse the pump intake filter sponge monthly so leaves and algae cannot restrict water flow to the top outlet.
Will the pump and LED light run on a timer?
Yes. Both run from a standard plug-in connection, so a weatherproof outdoor timer — mechanical or digital — will handle daily running hours and evening illumination without you switching anything by hand.
