About TOV2039 Ribbed Urn
Deep vertical flutes run the full height of the wall, so what you see is a band of light and shadow rather than a flat curve. That is the whole argument for a ribbed profile. Against a boundary wall, a poolside deck or a commercial entranceway, a plain cylinder tends to disappear; this one holds its edges as the sun moves.
Terracotta and stone can leach moisture, crack under root pressure or degrade in coastal heat. The fibreglass matrix here is impermeable, and it takes the swing from a hot dry Perth summer into winter rain without thermal shock. Tare weight stays low, which is what makes transport and repositioning straightforward on rooftop balconies and paved terraces.
Size choice usually comes down to root depth. The TOV2039/72 (720 x 720 x 1000 mm) takes deep-rooting feature trees, cascading bougainvillea or a specimen cycad either side of a double entryway. The TOV2039/60 (600 x 600 x 720 mm) is the mid volume — patio corners, evergreen screening shrubs, topiary balls. The TOV2039/45 (450 x 450 x 560 mm) is the compact fluted profile, and it works best grouped in stepped clusters, along courtyard borders or around an alfresco dining zone.
One clarification, because the name is shared. This is the moulded fibreglass ribbed profile. The heavier high-fired terracotta version comes in a single 58 x 75 size and is listed separately as the Atlantis Ribbed Urn. Worth checking which one you are pricing before you order.

Which size is which in the TOV2039 series?
Three of them. The large TOV2039/72 is 720 mm wide by 1000 mm high, the medium TOV2039/60 is 600 mm wide by 720 mm high, and the small TOV2039/45 is 450 mm wide by 560 mm high.
How much potting mix will each one swallow?
Budget 210 to 230 litres of growing medium for the 1000 mm unit, 110 to 120 litres for the 720 mm, and 50 to 55 litres for the 560 mm model. Order the bags before delivery day — the large size catches people out.
Does anything go in the base before the soil?
Outdoors, yes. Check the drainage holes are clear, cover the base with fine fibreglass mesh, then lay a 50 mm bed of 20 mm blue metal or drainage aggregate over it. That keeps soil out of the drainage pathway through heavy winter downpours, stops the mix compacting into a solid plug and keeps air moving through the root zone.
Can you paint one to match my render or gutters?

Is it safe to use indoors on timber or tiled floors?
Yes, provided the base stays undrilled or is sealed with waterproof silicone. Sit the nursery grow pot on an internal saucer or riser inside the urn so runoff is caught rather than seeping through to the floor or carpet.
