About TOV200 Trough
Two hundred centimetres of unbroken planting line, 50 cm across and 50 cm deep: that is what the TOV200 puts along a fence, a courtyard edge or the open side of an entertaining area. Reinforced polystone fibreglass does the work here, crushed mineral filler giving the wall the density and look of stone while the fibreglass reinforcement keeps the empty container light enough to carry into place before a single bag of mix goes in. It sits with the rest of our trough planters and the wider oversize planters range.
Depth is the reason most people choose this one. At 50 cm the trough carries the soil column that hedging plants, structured shrubs and deeper-rooted perennials want, while flowering annuals and culinary herbs simply get more root room than they will ever use. The exterior is finished in Dulux Weathershield Low Sheen, which holds its colour through Western Australian summers and can be matched to existing paintwork, timber decking or masonry rather than fought against.
Two other formats share this footprint, so it is worth knowing which one you are actually after. The Oblong Trough 200x50x50 is the TOV lightweight version; the Trough Planter 200x50x50 is the Polystone Resin version, offered in eight finishes.
Work out how much mix a two-metre box swallows before you order rather than after; our potting mix calculator will do the sums. Finishes are far easier to judge in daylight against the profile itself, so visit the Malaga showroom if you are deciding between trough shapes.
Common questions
How long is the TOV200, and how deep?
200x50x50: two metres end to end, 50 cm across and 50 cm deep. The depth is the figure worth noting, since it carries a full soil column for hedging plants, and the 50 cm width keeps the box in proportion when it runs the length of a fence or boundary.
What is the TOV200 made from?
A polystone fibreglass composite: crushed mineral fillers bound with reinforcing fibreglass. The filler gives the wall its stone density, the fibreglass carries the structural load, and that combination is how a container this long stays light while empty.
Which colours can I order it in?
A selected range of Dulux Weathershield Low Sheen colours. In practice most buyers match the trough to something already on site, whether that is exterior paintwork, decking or the masonry behind it, rather than treating the planter as a separate colour decision.
Can two people move it into position?
Yes, while it is empty. The reinforced composite matrix takes the structural strain of a large-format planter without the deadweight of stone or concrete, so two people can lift the trough, line it up along the wall or fence, and fill it once it is exactly where it needs to stay.
Can I see one before ordering?
Display units and Dulux finish samples are kept at our Malaga showroom, where staff can talk through container sizing and local delivery options.
