The planting volume and the ballast come from the same mass, which is the point of a container this size. The LS7061/109 steps down to 109 x 69 and 150 kg, still deep enough for a large screening hedge or a wide-canopy specimen, and considerably easier to place on a finished site.
Natural grey Light Stone sits quietly next to traditional masonry, off-form concrete and timber decking, which is why most projects leave it exactly as it arrives. Where a colour schedule has already been signed off, we coat the container in any selected Dulux shade on request for an additional 25%.

Which plants suit each of the two sizes?
The 109 x 69 size suits mature architectural shrubs like Japanese maple, olive trees, or dense camellias, while the 122 x 114 model accommodates large ornamental trees, mature frangipanis, and weeping figs with extensive root systems.
What goes in the bottom before the soil?
Start by checking the base drainage outlets are clear. Cover the holes with durable synthetic flyscreen mesh, add a 15 cm to 20 cm bed of coarse blue metal aggregate, and lay a sheet of permeable geotextile fabric across the stone before filling with open, free-draining potting soil.
Does the weight do anything useful once the planter is in place?
It does. Tare weights of 150 kg and 250 kg, before any potting mix or tree goes in, put the mass low and keep it there. Tall specimens hold steady through strong coastal gusts without floor bolting or permanent anchoring, which matters on tiled terraces and finished plaza paving where you cannot drill.
What access is needed to deliver a 250 kg planter on site?
The 122 x 114 model at 250 kg tare requires a clear opening of at least 1200 to 1300 mm and either pallet handling equipment or a four-person lift. Measure the narrowest point on the delivery route, including gate widths, stair turns and any fixed obstacles, before ordering. Our team can advise on tail-lift or crane options for restricted sites.
Cleaning natural grey versus a Dulux coat: any difference?
Natural grey Light Stone has a mineral tooth to it, so dust and pollen settle into the surface rather than on top of it. Rinse with a garden hose at normal pressure and work a soft sponge with mild neutral liquid soap over the worst of it; the faint weathering that builds up in the texture is worth leaving. A Dulux coat is tighter and shows scuffs more readily, so wash it the same way but keep steel wire brushes, chemical solvents and high-pressure spray wands well clear of the coating.
